Relaxing Boat Trips in the BVI

One of the great things about visiting the BVI in the Caribbean is that it offers travelers a range of things to do. There are things to do for those people who like action and watersports, and there is also plenty of opportunity to relaxing and chill out when on vacation, for those who are looking to unwind. One great way to relax in style is to take a boat tour around some of the islands and destinations the BVI has to offer. Here at Chillout Charters we have put together a boat tour designed to help you relax and unwind in the sun.

For those who are looking for a relaxing day in the BVI then our Chill Time tour day trip is exactly what you’re looking for. The itinerary for this sightseeing, relaxation and island hopping adventure is as follows:

Deadman's Bay Peter Island

Our first stop on the tour is Deadman’s Bay which is a secluded beach on Peter Island, known for its palm-fringed shoreline and gentle waves. The bay is an ideal location for snorkeling, as the calm waters are home to a variety of colorful fish and coral formations. For those who prefer to stay dry, the beach offers soft sand and shade, making it the perfect spot to relax. With its tranquil atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, Deadman's Bay is an essential stop on any boat tour of the BVI.

Pirates Bight - Norman Island

Next stop on our tour is Pirates Bight which is a beautiful Norman Island bay steeped in history and legend. The sheltered bay has a pristine beach, while the surrounding hills are lush green vegetation. With it’s snorkeling spots, and crystal-clear blue waters, you can spot colorful fish among the coral. A visit to Pirates Bight will surely be one of the highlights of your BVI adventure.

Hendo's Hideout

After our first two stop on the boat tour it is time for lunch. On our Chill Time tour this consists of a visit to Hendo's Hideout, a serene hideaway on the picturesque White Bay Beach on Jost Van Dyke island. Great for drinks and food. This location is the perfect beach bar and is great for unwinding and enjoying the crystal-clear waters and white sand. The surrounding location, alongside beautiful beaches, offers a range of water sports activities, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking, allowing you to explore the marine life that lives in the area.

Bubbly Pool & Foxy's Taboo - Jost Van Dyke

After lunch we head off to Bubbly Pool, which is a natural phenomenon located on the northern coast of Jost Van Dyke. This small, enclosed pool is fed by the ocean's waves, which crash over the surrounding rocks and create a bubbling effect. The pool is an ideal spot for a swim, and the surrounding area is perfect for exploring on foot. A visit to Bubbly Pool is an unforgettable experience and a highlight of any boat tour of Jost Van Dyke.

While we’re in the area we will also visit Foxy's Taboo. This bar and eatery is based in Diamond Cay, on Jost Van Dyk close by to Bubbly Pool. We can stop here for a drink and if you’re still hungry after lunch you can pick up a snack to keep you going.

Sandy Spit or Sandy Cay - Jost Van Dyke

For our final stop on the tour we’ll either select Sandy Spit or Sandy Cay on Jost Van Dyke.

Sandy Spit is a tiny, islet located just off the coast of Jost Van Dyke. The islet features a small, beach surrounded by crystal-clear waters, making it an idyllic location for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. With its secluded setting and natural beauty, Sandy Spit is a tropical paradise and a must-see on any BVI boat tour.

Another option is Sandy Cay, a small, island near Jost Van Dyke, known for its white sand beach and coral reefs. The island is a protected national park, and visitors can only stay for a limited time to preserve its natural beauty. Sandy Cay is an ideal location for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling, with its crystal-clear waters filled with colorful fish and marine life.
