The British Virgin Islands, hailed as a vacation haven, is renowned for its pristine shorelines, inviting azure waters, and diverse aquatic creatures. Comprising around 60 islands and cays, nestled in the Caribbean Sea, this idyllic destination beckons those seeking respite from the monotonous grind of a typical workweek.

The islands have a rich history, great local culture, and plenty of sun, sea and white sand beaches to explore. Whether you want to put your feet up and relax, enjoy the various water sport activities that are on offer, or put your hiking shoes on to hit the nature trails, there is something for everyone in the BVI.

One of the best ways to see what the islands have to offer is with a BVI charter, island hopping through the beautiful waters with Chillout Charters. This allows to you discover each of the individual islands' hidden gems and experience them in the best possible way and if you like boats then the BVI is the perfect location! With all the different islands being just a short distance between each other, traveling around by boat is the obvious choice. Even if you’re staying at one of the many all-inclusive resorts there are plenty of good reasons to take a day trip out by boat to see what some of the other locations have to offer.

At Chillout Charters we offer a wide range of BVI tours, including our Half-Day Treasure Seeker tour which takes you some wonderful spots! A boat tour with Chillout Charters is a unique experience that offers something for everyone. Here is a run-down of what to expect when you book The Treasure Seeker Tour with us.

Little Harbour - Peter Island

The first stop on our Half-Day tour is Little Harbour on Peter Island. This hidden gem offers a peaceful escape, with only a handful of anchorages available for boats to securely moor. Renowned for its tranquil ambiance, Little Harbour is cocooned by majestic hills, further enhancing the sense of seclusion that pervades this idyllic spot.

Little Harbour offers serene, temperate, and transparent waters, making it an ideal location for snorkeling and observing the mesmerizing marine creatures below. Moreover, it presents a wonderful opportunity to encounter a turtle or perhaps even a pair in their natural habitat.

In Little Harbour, there is an abandoned Cigar Factory that attracts many visitors who opt to embark on a short hike to catch a glimpse of its ruins. This intriguing location not only offers a splendid backdrop for your travel photographs but also serves as a fascinating spot to delve into a bit of history.

The Caves or The Indians - Norman Island

After our first stop on our private boat charter, we have two options, depending on preferences and conditions.

1) The Caves at Norman Island

The southern tip of Norman Island is home to the magnificent Caves. These caves consist of three mesmerizing sea caves that penetrate deep into the rock. Accessible for all boats, including catamarans, the Caves offer the perfect opportunity for snorkeling enthusiasts and explorers alike. Venturing into the caves is an unparalleled experience, immersing you in a world of wonder and here you might find some pirate treasure! Once inside, you'll be mesmerized by the abundance and diversity of fish species that inhabit these cave walls. It truly is an exceptional spot for snorkeling, providing a one-of-a-kind adventure. Worried about equipment? Fret not, there’s no need for rentals, s we've got you covered! Snorkeling equipment is readily available, ensuring you have everything you need for an unforgettable underwater exploration.

Or 2) The Indians at Norman Island

The Indians at Norman Island is an another excellent snorkel spot to explore the marine life of the BVI. This collection of rocky structures emerges from the water's surface and is widely known as a top spot for engaging in snorkeling and scuba diving activities. Underneath the waves at The Indians, you will encounter an array of captivating sights such as vibrant coral gardens, thriving sponges, and a diverse range of fish species that call this area home. Notably, this location typically boasts tranquil waters and crystal-clear visibility, providing ideal conditions for snorkelers to fully immerse themselves in the underwater wonders.

Pirates Bight or Willy T - Norman Island

After a few hours of snorkeling and traveling around the BVI you will likely have built up an appetite and we have some great food options lined up on our tour. The final stop on our Half Day tour is either the Pirates Bight Restaurant on Norman Island, or the Willy T - a floating Bar on Norman Island, where you can pick up a Mahi-Mahi burger and a drink of your choice.

1) Pirates Bight

Pirates Bight, located at Norman Island, presents an authentic Caribbean experience. This seaside restaurant and bar is renowned for its exceptional cuisine, refreshing beverages, and delightful ambiance. The menu at Pirates Bight encompasses a diverse range of dishes, with a special emphasis on delectable seafood options. However, the menu is highly adaptable, ensuring there is something to please nearly every palate. Guests can also indulge in a selection of cocktails, with rum taking center stage in many of the delightful concoctions.
Beyond its tantalizing food and drinks, Pirates Bight beach bar offers a picturesque beachfront setting where visitors can unwind, soak up the sun, leisurely sip their cocktails, and partake in the idyllic sight of sailboats and powerboats gracefully passing by.

Or 2) - Another Option is the Willy T - Norman Island

Our next recommendation, The Willy T Bar and Restaurant, may not offer the same level of tranquility as Pirates Bight, but it certainly provides an entertaining and enjoyable experience. Permanently anchored in an area called "the Bight," this floating restaurant is a converted old Schooner and is affectionately named after William Thornton.

The Willy T offers delectable food, an extensive selection of beverages, and lively music, allowing patrons to fully immerse themselves in the party atmosphere. While the drinks and cuisine are exceptional, many visitors are drawn to the Willy T for its vibrant ambiance, making it an essential stop on our Half Day Trip. Additionally, if you're looking for a quick adrenaline rush while waiting for your order, you can take the plunge off the Willy T—though rest assured, the height is not daunting!
